Call Parking:
no missed handoffs, ever.
Place any active call into a shared parking room so any colleague can retrieve it instantly — from any device, with a single code.
What is Call Parking?
Call Parking lets you move an active call into a numbered shared room. The caller hears hold music while any teammate — from any device — retrieves it with a simple dial code. Available on the Ringover web app and SIP phones.
Park a call in seconds
During an active call, click Transfer, open the Contacts tab, and type a parking code — e.g. *842 for room 42. Click the room name to instantly move the call. The caller hears hold music.
Any teammate retrieves it instantly
No need to coordinate in real time. Any team member dials the parking code (e.g. *842) from their Ringover Dialer and the parked call connects automatically.
Shared rooms, simple rules
Rooms 1–99 are auto-created and shared team-wide. They cannot be renamed. Parked calls that nobody retrieves disconnect automatically after 3 hours.

How does Call Park work in Ringover?
Call Park, also known as call parking, is a feature that allows you to place an ongoing call in a shared room so another teammate can retrieve it instantly from their own device. Instead of transferring the call to a specific person, the call is temporarily “parked” in a numbered room while the caller listens to hold music.
This feature is especially useful when you do not know exactly which teammate is available, when you need to pass the call to another department, or when several team members can handle the same request. You simply share the room code so any authorized person can quickly resume the conversation, without losing the call or making the customer repeat their request.
During a call, you can transfer it to a numbered room by entering a code, for example *842 for room 42. The caller listens to hold music until another member of the customer support team retrieves the call.
Who can retrieve a parked call?
Any team member can retrieve a parked call by dialing the corresponding room code from their Ringover Dialer or from a compatible SIP phone. For example, if a call has been parked in room 42 using the code *842, another teammate only needs to dial that same code to automatically connect to the call.
This means the call does not depend on one specific person. If one teammate is busy, another available team member can pick it up instantly, making team collaboration easier and reducing the risk of missed calls or unnecessary wait times for the customer.
What is Call Park used for in a company?
Call Park helps transfer calls more smoothly, especially when you do not know exactly who is available. Instead of losing the call or making the customer wait without context, you can park it and let the right teammate pick it up.
How is Call Park different from a classic call transfer?
With a classic call transfer, you normally choose the person or extension you want to send the call to directly. In other words, the call is sent to a specific recipient. This works well when you know exactly who should answer and that person is available at that moment.
With Call Park, the process is more flexible: instead of transferring the call to a specific teammate, you park it in a shared room using a code. From there, any team member can retrieve the call from their own Ringover power dialer or from a compatible SIP phone.
This difference is especially useful for teams where several people can manage the same request, such as sales, support, or customer service teams. Call Park avoids the need to coordinate in real time, reduces missed calls, and allows the first available teammate to quickly resume the conversation.
Which devices can Call Park be used from?
Call Park is available from the Ringover web app and from compatible SIP phones, allowing teams to retrieve calls from different devices.
What happens if no one retrieves a parked call?
If a parked call is not retrieved, it remains on hold for up to 3 hours. After that time, the call is automatically disconnected.
